AI across your PC

Integrated with all your favourite Microsoft tools – like Outlook, Word, Teams and Excel – Copilot makes everyday work and irksome tasks a breeze.

The secure AI tool

Copilot doesn’t take your data and use it to train its models, unlike some other AI tools, which is why we recommend it for businesses.

Copilot consulting services

Systems need to be secured, and staff need to be trained before Copilot can be rolled out. We can help.

What is Microsoft Copilot?

Microsoft’s handy AI tool, Copilot, is built into Microsoft 365 and assists with daily work, making particularly time-consuming tasks – like writing proposals, reading lots of emails and writing meeting minutes – much easier.

Copilot sits inside apps like Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel and PowerPoint to assist immediately with writing, summarising, designing and assessing information. It can pull data from other documents should you need to turn a Word document into an attractive presentation, for example.

Microsoft has also introduced Copilot agents, intelligent helpers designed to handle multi-step tasks with increased independence. Built through Copilot Studio, agents are given specific knowledge sources and permissions, enabling them to operate securely inside apps and complete tasks consistently, much like a colleague working alongside you.

Aside from Copilot being on hand when you are using your usual Microsoft 365 tools, it is also extremely secure and doesn’t use your business data to train its AI models, which is why we recommend it as the AI tool for businesses.

How can Resolve help me with Microsoft Copilot?

Before integrating Copilot into a business, there are several considerations. We provide Microsoft Copilot consulting services to assist businesses as they start their AI journey.

Whilst Copilot is extremely secure, it works within the security of your own systems. Therefore, before rolling it out across staff it is pretty important that you check all your permissions are set-up properly. If not, there is a chance staff could get access to private data.

As Copilot consultants, we have assisted numerous businesses in getting set-up securely. We have a tried and tested method for correctly establishing permissions, so you can have peace of mind that nothing will fall through the cracks.

Moving to Copilot can also require an altered mindset, while staff get used to asking for assistance. With this in mind, we have established a full set of adoption services, to train teams in Copilot prompts, agents and usage.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Microsoft Copilot and how does it work?

Microsoft Copilot is an AI assistant built directly into Microsoft 365 apps such as Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel and PowerPoint. It helps users work faster by drafting content, summarising information, analysing data and finding answers using the context of their own documents and emails.

Is Microsoft Copilot secure for business use?

Yes. Microsoft Copilot operates within your existing Microsoft 365 security and compliance framework. Your business data remains inside your tenant and is not used to train Microsoft’s AI models. However, it’s vital that permissions and data access are configured correctly before rollout, which is where expert guidance can make a big difference.

Do we need to prepare our systems before using Copilot?

In most cases, yes. Copilot reflects the permissions already in place, so if users currently have access to files they shouldn’t, Copilot may surface that information. A permissions and SharePoint audit is an important step to ensure your data is structured, secure and Copilot‑ready before licences are assigned.

Will our staff need training to use Copilot effectively?

While Copilot is intuitive, training helps teams get real value from it. Learning how to write effective prompts, understand Copilot’s capabilities and use agents responsibly can dramatically improve productivity. We offer structured training and adoption services to support both AI Champions and wider teams.

What are Copilot agents and do we need them?

Copilot agents are task‑focused AI helpers built using Copilot Studio. They can carry out multi‑step processes using defined knowledge sources and permissions, making them useful for repeatable tasks. Agents aren’t essential to get started, but they can unlock more advanced, consistent automation as your Copilot maturity grows.

How can Resolve help us get started with Copilot?

We support businesses at every stage of their Copilot journey – from early advice and security preparation to training, rollout and ongoing adoption. Our consultants help ensure Copilot is deployed safely, effectively and in a way that genuinely improves how your team works.
