Resolve have been granted finalist status in the ‘Outstanding Employer’ category in this year’s Yorkshire Post Excellence in Business Awards.
The Excellence in Business Awards is a “calendar highlight for Yorkshire and has seen some of the biggest names in commerce named as winners over the years.” Yorkshire Post’s Business Editor Mark Casci speaks of the awards in very high regards, describing them as the “premier awards for the region”. The Resolve team were therefore thrilled to hear of our shortlisting and are very much looking forward to the awards ceremony on the 17th November 2021.
Outstanding Employer
This award celebrates the employers who truly value and reward their staff, nurturing a culture that allows all employees to play a role in moving the company forward. What makes you stand out in terms of how you treat your staff? Are they able to progress and thrive? Why is your workplace culture superior to those in your sector? Would you want your children to work for the business you run? What positive measures and actions did you undertake to protect your business, clients and staff during the Covid crisis?
Resolve did actually win The Yorkshire Post Excellence in Business ‘Apprenticeship Award’ last year, but as Apprenticeships weren’t a focus in this years categories, we decided to put ourselves forward for the ‘Outstanding Employer’ award this time instead. The ‘Outstanding Employer’ award was very much suited towards Resolve as we as a company place huge emphasis on employee training, development, and good old fashioned ‘office fun’, making us a strong contender for the category.
The Yorkshire Post reports of receiving a “record-breaking 345 entries for this year’s awards - dozens ahead of the closest previous tally” which makes our shortlisting feel even more special.
In our ‘Outstanding Employer’ category, Resolve are up against two other Yorkshire businesses, Audacia and Language is Everything. The winning company will be announced at the Awards Ceremony which is due to take place at Headingly Stadium in Leeds.
