Top Tech Christmas Gift Guide

Top Tech Christmas Gift Guide
Hannah asked a bunch of IT engineers what tech gifts they want for Christmas, so if you have a tech-loving family member, listen up!

The time has come once again to pen those Christmas lists to post to Lapland. These are the tech gifts the Resolve team would like to see under the tree on the 25th of December…

qled tv

1. QLED TV
Selected by the MD himself, Andrew would like to unwrap a QLED TV this Christmas. According to Samsung’s website, QLED TV allows you to “see colour in a whole new light.” The TV has a 10 year screen burn warranty, which means this stunning picture will last a very long time. Ideal for watching all those action movies Andrew loves.

gopro

2. Go Pro
Go Pro is the go-to brand for adventure cameras. They sell cameras, drones, apps and accessories for you to capture every moment of your holiday, whether that is underwater, up a mountain or during some extreme sport. For example, the Hero6  Black is waterproof to 10m, has slo-mo capabilities, responds to voice commands and can transfer footage straight to a smart phone app.

occulus

3.Oculus Rift
The world of VR has well and truly taken off, and Oculus Rift is proving to be one of the most popular. With two controllers and a headset with 360 degree spatial audio, the Oculus Rift is a truly immersive experience. Plus, it is a great way to spend the Christmas holiday adventuring without even leaving the house!

4. Fitbit
A Fitbit is the perfect companion for the inevitable post-Christmas health kick. There are numerous different types of Fitbit available, and you can choose one to meet your specifications. But regardless of the features, the purpose of the Fitbit remains the same: to help you reach your fitness goals. It tracks everything from activity, exercise, food and weight, right through to sleep.

raspberry pi

5. Raspberry Pi
Contrary to what the name suggests, a Raspberry Pi is a tiny computer that can be used to build pretty much anything. It is the perfect gift for budding programmers and comes in a variety of sizes. To get you started, Raspberry Pi also has a load of online resources, forums and blogs. And this gift has been recommended by our Technical Specialist no less.
